Swimming Pool & Splash Pad
Built in 2004, the pool has become one of the property’s most popular attractions, particularly during the hot and hazy days of summer.
During operating months, the pool and Splash Pad are open from moring until nightfall. Being a Class B facility, the pool is unsurpervised outside of Summer Camp swimming hours, and all swimmers use it at their own risk. Swimmers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. Alcoholic beverages and glass containers of any kind are not permitted in the pool and splash pad area. Swimmers must adhere to all posted rules or risk immediate ejection from the pool area and possibly further consequences.
During summer, the Children’s Summer Camp will have priority use of the pool during regular posted hours and on occasion outside of those times as needed. Other swimmers will be asked to exit the pool during camp use.
Private groups wishing to make use of the pool facilities will be asked to pay a nominal fee per user, and shall be responsible for providing a lifeguard at their own expense.
The open-air stage, modelled after an old Latvian homestead, has played host to dozens of performers over the years, including some very prominent Latvian superstars. It serves as home base for the annual Summer Solstice “Jāņi” celebrations, which regularly see in the neighbourhood of one thousand revellers sing and dance along to their most cherished folk songs.
Across the river, nestled amongst the towering trees, is our popular outdoor dance floor. Complete with a stage and overhead lights, the dance floor is a magical setting to dance the night away.
During summer evenings the dance floor serves as a tranquil location for evening yoga classes.
