Children’s Camp
Sidrabene's Purpose:
The camp is bilingual (Latvian and English), runs seasonally every summer and is for children ages 4-13. Campers 14-16 are welcome to join our CIT (Counsellor-in-training) program to prepare for becoming part of our staff group as of age 16!
Cāļu Kalns
*Cāļu Kalns is available as either a day or overnight camp experience*
Day Camp
- Children ages 4-7
- Drop-off: 8:30 AM
- Pick-up: 8:00 PM
- Dedicated counsellors (vadītāji)
- Participates in activities with lielā nometne as well as their own separate activities
- Swimming with all of camp
Overnight
- Ages 4-7
- Sunday - Sunday
- Sleep in a private building (CK)
- Available on a week to week basis (Only weeks 1+2)
- Dedicated counsellors (vadītāji)
- Participates in activities with lielā nometne as well as their own separate activities
- Swimming with all of camp
Lielā Nometne (Meiteņu Gals/ Zēnu Gals)
- Ages 8-14
- Sleep in tents - boys in one end, girls in another end
- Overnight camp experience available on a week to week basis (NO day camp)
- Supervised by a team of counsellors (vadītāji)
CIT (Counsellor-in-Training) Program
- 4-week leadership training
- Only available as a 4-week experience
- Price includes 2 years of training (4 weeks per summer)
- High school volunteer hours available in Year 2
- Dedicated CIT Leader
- Participate in camp activities with lielā nometne as well as CIT only leadership oriented activities
- Camp employment shadowing opportunities
- Designated CIT leadership excursion

Burn Pile
Please refrain from putting lumber, leaves, and branches in the common burn pile (opposite Zirgs un Muca. AKA Blums fire pit). Please place branches and leave sin natural areas and don’t make piles spread out! Paldies!
Garbage/Recycling
All guests/cottagers/and friends of Sidrabene are asked to clean up after themselves. All garbage and recycling can be mixed, as the Halton region will sort through it later.
